About Independent School Axis Axis is a 501(c)( 3) not-for-profit organization that companions with Los Angeles location independent schools to create paths for underrepresented trainees and family members of shade to access, navigate, and thrive secretive education and learning. Independent colleges do not precisely represent the overall Los Angeles population, where over 70% of citizens are people of shade. Through our Axis cohorts, we sustain students and instructors of shade as they access personal education and learning opportunities with our recurring advice. We additionally work with Partner Schools throughout L.A. to make a lasting and transformative influence on their diversity, equity, incorporation, and responsibility (DEIA) practices. By holding institutions accountable for exactly how they come close to and resolve DEIA, we can attain better knowing end results for all trainees while also preparing them to become multiculturally competent people.
